ACT 8 OF 2020 — ACCOUNTANTS (AMENDMENT) ACT
An Act to amend the Accountants Act.
Date of Commencement: 1st April, 2022 [through SI 110/2021].
Amends: ss 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 15, 18, 20, 25, 27, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 37, 41, 45, 48, 50, 57 and Schedule.
Subs: ss 35 and 47.
Inserts: ss 47A, 47B and 47C.
Repeals: ss 31 and 60.
General Amendment: This Act is amended by substituting for the words “professional accountant”, “professional accounting services” and “Treasurer” wherever they appear in the Act, the words “certified professional accountant or chartered accountant”, “professional accountancy services” and “Audit Committee Chairperson” respectively.
